Dockland, Münster in the year 2005 - I was 17 years old and at that time I drove 70km with my best friend Max from our home village to the gig of Bad Boy Bill, because a friend of ours was able to cheat past the bouncer. Four turntables. 45 Songs in 80Min. In between cuts and scratches. My first "real" club visit was also the best. I still remember how the people around us danced the night away and Bad Boy Bill became an idol from a technical point of view. Even if the development of this genre doesn't catch up with me nowadays and I miss the variety of today's house tunes, I still hope for a kind of renaissance.

 

And until then, I simply discovered my record case and put on my imported rare US vinyl. To get them I had to bribe my record dealer in Dortmund more often than I wanted to. The result is a homage to the unique Bad Boy Bill, who made a name for himself not least because of the gig in the Tiefenrausch of my current hometown Cologne. CD-Sampler like the "Bangin The Box" series and "Bangin In London" were legendary and are also the inspiration for my tracklist. And even though so many years have passed and I was allowed to play in clubs again and again, I still miss these unique skills.
